Duck hunting is a very popular sport at our camp. The many nearby mashes, islands and weed beds make our area one of the best duck hunting areas in N. Ontario. We are only 5 minutes by boat from Cache Bay, which is a large wetland area and is on route for migratory birds. You will find mallards, blue bills, wood ducks, teals, red heads, ring necks and geese. All cottages are heated for your comfort. A Modified American Plan is also available with meal service in the dining room of our lodge. Our cedar strip boats camouflage well and are well suited for hunting. Game birds such as grouse are also nearby. We sell small game hunting licenses at camp. |

We are located in some of the best bear country in Ontario. We are just north of the Village of Opasatika, with miles of roads and two tracks, throughout the 877 square kilometers, that we hunt. This is pristine bear country, with numerous, lakes rivers and streams. Our guests stay in a 4 bedroom house, on the inside edge of the Village of Opasatika. It is fully modern with all things that are needed to set up housekeeping. It has a large lot with lots of parking and room to shoot your bows. There is fishing close by in the Opasatika River, plus a few good Lakes. Black Bear hunting here is an experience to remember. Still hunting or stalking, an encounter with a bear will get the adrenalin flowing. Our bear management areas have a good and thriving population. Stands are close to camp and easily accessible. Season opens Aug. 15 through Sept. 30 for firearms and archery. After the first day of hunting, hunters are responsible for their own transportation and for maintaining the bait, which is supplied. Our area has a varied background for moose hunting. There are clear cuts, swampy areas and many waterways where moose can be found. Our camp is located in the heart of Wildlife Management Units 40 and 29. The moose population in our area is very good for both adults and calves. We offer archery and firearms moose hunting packages. Grouse hunting in our area is excellent. There is a large number of Spruce, Ruffed and Sharp Tail grouse. |
